Trail Ride

Elkhorn Stables offers great horses, wranglers, and the most historic trail rides in the Estes Area. We feature a variety of horseback options, from the just-get-acquainted trail rides to the breakfast and steak dinner rides. For average cowpokes, we offer a nice one hour ride (see pricing here).

You may trailer your horses for World-Class trail riding from Elkhorn's Base Camp and Horse Hotel to the National Park.

Most of the Elkhorn visitors ride horses. Many times, it's where youngsters fall in love with their first horse. Fathers are forever reminded of this memorable experience.

Elkhorn's horse trails are the most historically significant around the Estes Park area. Man Mountain, a Native American, sacred vision-quest site, is located within our trail system.

Riders enjoy some of the finest scenery and vistas available, learn about the history of The Elkhorn, gain a new perspective of the mountains and a greater appreciation of our Native American heritage.

Elkhorn Stables recommends and provides helmets for the smaller cowpokes. Doubles riding is permitted and a waiver of liability is required for all individuals riding our horses..
