Family Reunion
A medium sized reunion - they climbed every mountain in-sight

Family reunions are also one of our more popular activites. Ranging from smaller reunions of about 12 to reunions of over 200, the Elkhorn is a great location. We do not offer first class accommodations; we have a historical and Western hospitality character that goes way beyond the more modern facilities, none of which come close to the range of programs, facilities, amenities that make a family reunion uniquely memorable.

The Coach House is our most popular facility for the larger renions as it represents a typical base camp where all of the family members can wander by for lunch, and the large deck typically has card playing activities simultaneous with visiting with distant relatives from early morning to late in the evening.


Most of the family reunions have a family meal; typically in the HayLoft or at the Huck Finn Trout Pond Pavilion, where we cater the food from the Main Lodge kitchen.

The Elkhorn staff will coordinate with your group to provide family get-together dinners, assist in arranging for your own picnic area, and/or assist in planning a group trail ride.

Whether you are a kid or a grandparent, the Elkhorn has activities specifically for your interests. Young Folks can ride horses, fish in our pond or the river, hike Man Mountain, or play a game of horseshoes.
