The
Huck Finn Trout Pond is available for the kids, where
they are usually guaranteed a catch. Elkhorn staff provide
fishing assistance, including a bamboo pole with bait,
and other requirements. We will even show the little fisherpersons
how to clean a trout, if they have such an interest. Guests
may either grill their fish on the Elkhorn's BBQ's, or
request the Elkhorn staff to prepare the fish for an evening
meal.
Parents should bring their camera and this may be the
first fish to be caught by many of the little ones.
Note: The Pond water levels are consistent with the level
of the adjacent Fall River;
when water levels are too high or low, the fishing may
be suspended for safety reasons.

Huck Finn Trout Pond Pavilion is available for Elkhorn
guests for picnics, grilling their fish and just plain
loafing, subject to the Pavilion not being previously
reserved. BBQ's and picnic tables are available.
Conferences, wedding
parties and other groups may reserve the Pavilion
exclusively, for their informal get-togethers and/or
for seminar purposes.
The
area adjacent to the Pavilion borders the Fall
River, and this is a favorite for outdoor
weddings, where the Pavilion is reserved for wedding
receptions. |
