Crowd in the HayLoft

You can have a cowboy chuckwagon at a National Historic working horse barn with BBQ cookouts at the Hayloft. This experience is pure hoedown party-time, dating back to the Prhoibition days when, for over 14 years, some of the finest bootleg was available. The "Hayloft hooch" was superior to Denver's Brown Palace Hotel, according to Brown's kitchen chefs who spent their summers at Elkhorn. Bring your camera and cowboy hats. Live the experience ot those Brown Palace chefs and thousands of others.


Dinners are featuring BBQ grilled 10 oz. prime-cut steaks, trout, steak/veggie kabobs and kid-burgers (with all the fixin's). Desserts, coffee and soft drinks available.

For many years, the Elkhorn Horse Barn HayLoft was used by the Elkhorn wranglers and guests for playing cards and for the consumption of various spirits. Over the past quarter-century, the HayLoft contains a 30-foot bar, a mini-stage, dance floor, appropriate seating, and a couple of pool tables. The atmosphere is horsey, with as many as 100 head of horses in the nearby vicinity. It's the perfect hangout for all you western folk!
