Camping

We offer wilderness camping for groups only. These campgrounds are located in the lands above the Elkhorn Main Lodge area; approximately a 15 minute walk. Cars are not permitted in the campgrounds and these areas are for backpack type of camping only; we have a parking area within approximately 100 yards of most of the camp sites and can make provision for vehicles to enter for unloading and loading only.

Wlderness camping is only for the hardy and bold backpacker - this is not KOA-type camping. Many of our campers prefer isolated mountain settings as opposed to the developed campsites.

No Crowds nor amenities. Campers assume all of the risks of early-day mountain life, incuding rugged trails and abundant wildlife.

Parking, restaurant, saloon, swimming pool and bathing facilities are available at the Lodge. Bring sleeping bags, sleeping pad, and a flashlight. No cars are permitted at the camp area, although there is limited parking available at the campgrounds. During peak camping periods, transport is provided via our party truck. Water and porta-potty provided.

No after-dark check-ins.
